Hi Camper Families!
It’s only been a solid 20 hours, and we are having a blast here at Mini Camp! Not only did we end last evening with an amazing game of blob tag, we also happened to squeeze in our first meal at Laurelville, a group pic, get-to-know-you games, AND a worship session! We did all of those things, got a great night’s sleep, and we are ready for more fun today!
Alyssa Green, our Bible teacher this week, has been talking to us about Peace. We learned a lot about being a Peacemaker or a Peacebreaker and how we can take peace and use it in our daily lives! We even discovered different ways we can find Peace using our five senses (taste, smell, hearing, touch, and sight).
Today, there was a lot of crafting, creek hikes, Split Rock Hikes, and swimming – as the sun is shining! We even celebrated Thursday with our Summer Camp Carnival! Games galore, carrot spitting, bowling, and water balloons thrown at the counselors – always a fave! And that is a WRAP on our first 24 hours at Mini-Camp! Only 24 left to go!
We are enjoying every minute of spending time with your campers. Thank you for entrusting us with them for a few days! It truly is a joy to be here at Laurelville!
