This month, we had the pleasure of having Dale and Jan Stebbins, SOOP volunteers, work alongside us. Dale and Jan quickly became part of the Laurelville family, and we treasured our time with them. They helped us accomplish many tasks, including hanging up pictures in the Guesthouse and Solarhouse, installing the new radiator in the woodchipper, painting Danzig, completing inventory, and organizing the mechanical room.
We’re thankful for all of their hard work and for the opportunity to get to know them! Robby Emerson, our Maintenance Director, commented, “Dale and Jan helped in many tangible ways but also were such an encouragement to myself and the staff here at Laurelville. They truly desired to be a blessing and accomplished that goal each day. I am so glad they came to serve the Lord here at Laurelville with their time and talents.”
When asked about her time at Laurelville, Jan said, “Laurelville’s website states ‘our passion is provide Christ-like hospitality in a safe and beautiful environment.’ After spending the month of March as volunteers here, Dale and I can attest to the truth of that statement. Doing whatever we could to help the committed and hard-working staff was enjoyable – getting to know them individually was even better. What’s not to love in such a beautiful setting?!”
Thank you, Dale and Jan, for your kind words, your passion to serve, and for the encouragement you brought to this place!
