The rumors are true! We love summertime at Laurelville. There’s something special about the energy and life that our campers and staff bring to this place. We chuckle as our muddy crew makes their way from the soccer field to the waterfall for a rinse. We celebrate as our campers try something new for the first time like the “Wild Woozy” at the ropes course. We smile when new friendships form out of serious or even giggly cabin times. We rejoice when our campers strengthen their relationship with God.
This summer was no exception. With 188 overnight campers, 58 day campers, and an amazing summer staff, June and July were full of laughs, adventure, and learning. We expanded our Summer Camp to a sixth week and are hopeful for continued growth in the coming years. In its second year, Day Camp continues to grow, connecting the community to all of the exciting things that happen here.
We’re so grateful for the families, congregations, and individuals who support our camp ministry, and we’re thankful for the way God continues to move. We look back on this summer with a full heart and look ahead to 2019 with great anticipation.
