Lunch & Learn:Let's Talk Adoption/Foster Care
Saturday, Nov. 14 at noon, Laurelville’s Small Dining Hall, must pre-register, $15.

Every child deserves a loving home. Paul Johnson, a Foster Care/Adoption Family Recruiter for 12 years with Adelphoi in Greensburg will discuss the fostering/adoption process, and the hopes and dreams of families working with children in Pennsylvania. Adelphoi’s foster-, kinship- and adoptive families provide both temporary and permanent loving homes for children whose biological parents can’t or won’t care for them.

The talk will include an open discussion about motivations to consider the process; how kids come into foster care; what the actual process is to become approved, and success stories. Paul, who adopted twice, said, “The need for foster/adoptive families is great. Let’s talk about how you can help children in need of a loving and caring home environment.”

He will also touch on what it takes to help provide care for the more than 15,000 infant/children/youth who come into “out of home care’ each year in the state of Pennsylvania!

Enjoy beverages and lunch prepared by Laurelville’s culinary team just for you!
