Laurelville serves over 20,000 people annually in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania. It takes caring, skilled, and dedicated people with a heart for Christian service to fulfill our call to ministry every day. Experienced Cook
Seeking cooks for year-round, or summer only employment. Flex hours: 15-40/week.
Starting pay: $12-14/hour for age 18+ Independent Cooks; $9/hour for age 16+ Assistant Cooks

Seeking year-round dishwashers. Starting wage $8.00/hour. Hours are mostly weekends during the school year; some weekdays available. Hours increase in the summer. Must be 14+ to apply.

Seasonal Positions
Overnight Summer Camp Counselors
We’re looking for energetic counselors who possess a desire to encourage growth and discipleship to join our Summer Camp staff. Must be 18 years of age or older. If under 18, can apply as a junior counselor (please indicate on application).
Counselors are required to attend Summer Camp Orientation. Counselors are expected to attend the Sunday afternoon staff meeting at the beginning of each week and stay at camp through Friday afternoon’s staff debrief meeting. Counselors are expected to assist in taking photos, coordinating games, instructing crafts, leading outdoor activities, and providing good care based on the policies explained at orientation. Counselors who are musically gifted are invited to help lead worship. Summer camp’s purpose is to provide a vibrant camping experience by creating an inclusive and safe space for all campers to deepen their walk with God.
Camp runs from mid June through the end of July.

Day Camp Counselors

Day Camp runs from mid June through early August, Mon-Fri from 9am-4pm.

Kitchen/Dining Hall Staff
Kitchen/Dining Hall
Staff will be responsible for assisting in the Kitchen/Dining Hall. Staff will contribute to a fast paced and efficient environment with the best possible food service, in keeping with the mission of Laurelville. Must be team oriented and display a Christ-like attitude at all times. Applicants must be 14 or older.
Dishwasher
Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the dishes and dish room while working at a fast pace. Must be willing to work as a team and display a Christ-like attitude at all times. Applicants must be 14 or older.

Lifeguards
Laurelville is seeking lifeguards and swim class instructors for the upcoming 2023 summer season. Lifeguards must present proof of their American Red Cross certification. Along with the duties outlined in their certification classes, lifeguards are expected to maintain the rules of the pool and safety of all guests while being mindful of the retreat experience at Laurelville. Lifeguards may also be asked to help instruct our learn-to-swim classes. If you have experience teaching swim lessons or would be interested in learning, please indicate that on your application.
